Police nabs three burglars, recovers stolen goods

Police has arrested three burglars and recovered stolen property worth lakhs on their instance in Budgam District of Central Kashmir, a police spokesman said.

He said that on 21st of May 2017, a person identified as Khursheed Ahmad Beigh son of Ghulam Mohammad Beigh a resident of Beerwah informed police station Beerwah that during the intervening night of 20th /21st May 2017, some unknown burglars broke into his mobile shop “Fast Track Mobile Gallery” located at Beerwah Market  and took away 160 mobile phones, 105 charges, 150 earphones & 100 data cables of various brands amounting approximately Rs 4, 50,000 (four lakh fifty thousand).

Following the information a case FIR number 56/2017 under section 457, 380, 109 RPC was registered in police station  Beerwah and investigation was taken up.

During the course of investigation, three suspects identified as Mohammad Ashraf Ganie, Mohammad Amin Ganie both son of Mohammad Yousuf Ganie resident of  Sedipora Beerwah, and Mohammad Shaban Ganie son of Ghulam Qadir Ganie a resident of Utligam Beerwah were apprehended. On questioning they confessed the crime. On their instance the stolen property was recovered. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
