Woman commits suicide
A woman committed suicide by jumping into the power canal at Barnbugh area of Kangan , a police official said.
He said that 25 year old woman identified as Parveerna Bano wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Chopan resident of Poshkar Wangat Kangan ended her life after she jumped into the power canal of USHP II– couple of meters away from her residence.
However, after hours of hectic efforts by Police and locals, the body of the woman was retrieved and shifted to Sub District Hospital Kangan for autopsy.
Kangan Police have registered a case under relevant sections and started investigation in the matter as to how she took such an extreme step.
