DEO launches special electoral enrollment drive

District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Rajouri launched the special enrollment drive for voters in age group 18-21 years and left out voters. The drive will continue till 31 July 2017 under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) as per guidelines of Election Commission of India.

As a part of campaign Assistant Electoral Registeration Officers convened meetings and camps at Khwas, Nowshera, Manjakote, Treyath, Qila Darhal, Sunderbani and Rajouri. At Nowshera 107 EPICs were distributed among newly enrolled voters.

Meetings of representatives of political parties, BLOs, BLAs and field teams were convened across the district by AEROs. The month long drive will include programmes at Schools and Colleges for inclusion of voters, special camp days, public meetings and other events followed by addition, deletion of voters for purification of electoral rolls. Forms for enrollment, deletion and transfer of votes will be made available at booth level by concerned BLOs.

District Administration has asked the people to come forward for enrollment of new and left out voters.
