EJAC decries delay in implementation of medical
Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) President, Abdul Qayoom Wani Friday condemned the dillydallying attitude of government in implementing the medical insurance scheme for government employees.
Wani in a statement issued here said that employees of the state are getting a meager amount of Rs 300 per month as medical allowances, which is good for nothing and employees are worst victims due to non-availability of employee friendly medical insurance scheme.
He demanded that all the employees irrespective of rank and grade should be covered under medical insurance scheme and the department of finance should go for open tendering for the said scheme so that employees will get cashless medical facility on reasonable rates in all reputed hospitals within the country.
Wani urged upon the Finance Minister, Haseeb Drabu, Chief Secretary, B B Viyas and Financial Commissioner, Naveen Choudry to take immediate steps for implementation of medical insurance schemes, which was invoked but unfortunately has been stopped and the employees of the state are suffering badly, which is a cause of grave concern for EJAC.
