Remembering the victims of Anchidora, Islamabad killings on their seventh anniversary, Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabir Ahmad Shah, on Thursday, paid tributes to them.

Paying tributes to Shujaat-ul-Islam, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khanday, and Imtiyaz Ahmad Yattoo on their anniversaries, Shah said their families are still awaiting justice.

Shah said, “It is unfortunate that even after the identification of the killers, no action has been taken against them. They were instead provided protection by the state.”

Terming the state government as puppets, Shah said to expect any justice from them is futile. “It is also unfortunate that human rights organisations are acting as mute spectators on the situation in Kashmir.”

The DFP chairman said a strategy needs to be devised to stop incidents of killings as Kashmiris are witnessing killings on daily basis.

He slammed the state administration for playing the role of a collaborator and providing safe haven to culprits of Anchidora incident.
