8 including 2 non-locals injured in clashes in Anantnag
Eight persons were injured during intense clashes in Jamia Masjid area of Anantnag after Friday prayers.
According to the sources, hundreds of youth pelted stones on paramilitary troopers during clashes after Friday prayers.
Sources said that at least 7 people have sustained injuries during the ongoing clashes which included a 9-year-old girl namely Moharram. The injured were identified as Aariz Ahmed resident of Dangarpora, Muneeb Ahmed of Nai Basti, Aijaz Ahmed of Kanelwan, Irfan of Larkipora, Mohammed Sahil of Bijnore Uttar Pardesh and Darshan of Nepal Moharram.
A CRPF personnel namely Pappu Singh was also injured during the clashes.
