Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) minister Haq Khan on Saturday had to face a tough time after two MLA’s accused him of being a former militant. The Minister in his response said that he would resign if it is proved that he was associated with militancy in the past.

“I will resign if it is proved that I had links with militancy in the past,” said Khan.

Haq was responding to senior National Conference leader Muhammad Akbar Lone during the special session of Jammu and Kashmir assembly on Saturday. Lone accused Khan of being associated with Al Barq militant outfit.

Pertinently, Usman Majeed of Congress party charged Khan of lying to the house. “I was a militant. He (Haq Khan) was a militant too,” said Majeed.
