Seven injured brought to SMHS

Almost 7 seven injured persons were brought to SMHS on Friday after clashes erupt at different places in Srinagar and other parts after an encounter in Bejbehara.

Clashes were witnessed in different parts of valley after an encounter between forces and militants broke out in Arwani, Bejbehara. Youth took to streets and pelted stones on forces, in retaliation forces opened fire resulting in death of two youth. 

Several injured, mostly hit by pellets, rubber bullets and bullets were brought to SMHS for treatment.

“There are patient with injuries on face, head and back,” said a doctor on duty, adding that “injured are mostly hit by pellets, rubber bullets and bullets.”

One person from Beerwa, Budgam with bullet injury right near his shoulder was also shifted to SMHS, and was being operated.

Doctors on duty said all that cases that reached to this hospital are stable and under observation, adding that “as of now there is no such patient admitted in the hospital whose condition is serious.”

However, two critically injured persons were referred to SKIMS where they are stated to be stable. Later, after the death of another person, Ehsan in Arwani, clashes once again broke out in which several were injured, one with a bullet injury in his back was referred to SMHS, where he too is said to be stable.
