‘Making of Developed India’ fest commences at Rajouri

The 3-day “Making of Developed India” Festival-2017 organized by District Administration took off here today with massive participation of people.

The festival is being held at Government Higher Secondary School Rajouri.

Member Parliament (MP), Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest at the inaugural function of the fest held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary. During the festival the departments would showcase their products and highlighted progress and achievements recorded under different schemes.

The MP commended participating departments for highlighting achievements, and display material on awareness regarding development and welfare schemes being implemented by them.

Several stalls were setup to apprise people about different schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, Fasal Beema Yojna, ICDS, Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Ujjwala Yojna etc.

Resource persons explained the public about the benefits of the schemes being implemented through their respective departments. Stall visitors also conveyed their suggestions to the departments.

Departments of Education, Health, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Panchayats, Agriculture, Horticulture and Labour are prominent in making the festival a success.

MLC, Vibod Gupta, ADC Mumtaz Ali, DPO ICDS Rashid Choudhary, ACR Paramjeet Singh, District Panchayat Officer Shafiq Choudhary beside officers of other departments, former PRI members, students, Anganwadi workers & helpers and people in large number participated in the festival that would continue till June 18.
