A ruckus was witnessed in the legislative assembly today as the members from the Opposition traded heated exchanges with the treasury benches after they had staged a sit-in before the Assembly Session began today.

The NC and Congress lawmakers trooped into the well of the house creating noisy scenes as soon as the special session for discussion on the Goods and Service Tax (GST) began today.

The continous protests by the Opposition members led to the disruption in the proceedings of the house as they marched into the Assembly, while raising slogans against the government.

Earlier NC lawmakers registered a  protest outside the main gate of the secretariat-assembly premises over the civilian killings.

NC lawmakers were carrying placards condemning the killings and seeking respect for human right. They temporarily blocked the passage of some ministers into the secretariat.
