Qazi Yasir goes into hiding, will lead pro freedom rally on 16th June at Anantnag: Spokesperson
The Chairman of Ummat e Islami, Mirwaiz South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmed Yasir who yesterday announced a grand rally from Anantnag’s Jamia Masjid has gone into hiding.
The Police have raided the houses of UeI members who have been evading arrest for some time now.
Mirwaiz Yasir yesterday at a Press conference has appealed people of South Kashmir to observe a complete shutdown on the 19th of June, 2017 to ‘remember Mirwaiz Dr. Qazi Nisar and all those who have sacrificed their lives for the Kashmir cause’.
According to the sources, Mirwaiz Yasir will also lead protest marches from Kulgam and Shopian to demand the release of Sarjan barkati, Sajad Hashmi and other political prisoners.
