The newly recruited employees of different government departments Wednesday staged protest here in Srinagar and demanded revocation of New Job Policy introduced in the year 2015.

The employees assembled at the Srinagar’s Pratap Park, the employees chanted anti-government slogans.

The protesting employees while talking to Kashmir Vision alleged that the government has kept the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in dilemma as the policy introduced in the year 2015 has not been implemented fully.

“There are several flaws in the implementation of the policy. The selection process takes more than one year and the salaries vary from person to person,” Sajad Ahmad, one among the protesting employees said.

He said that the government should revoke new job policy, as it has resulted in the immense hardships to the employees.

“How is it possible to survive on meager amount? We are facing tremendous hardships due to the government apathy. We are serving the departments with dedication but unfortunately we are being paid a meager amount to survive,” he said.

Notably, the new job policy (SRO- 202) of Jammu and Kashmir Government, applied in the year 2015, the new recruits will get around Rs 9000 as fixed pay for the first five years of service without any increments.
