Minister inaugurates Sammelan on ‘Sabka Saath SabkaVikas’ at Poonch

A mega public awareness programme regarding various centrally sponsored schemes was held here today under the aegis of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ Sammelan.

The programme was inaugurated by Minister for Industries & Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga.

The aim of the programme was to make people aware the masses about public welfare schemes and initiatives being taken and implemented by Union Govt.

 A 10 minute documentary film indicating welfare initiatives and schemes taken up by Union Government was also screened.  About 3000 people from cross section of the society were present in the samelan which also witnessed a scintillating cultural programme. 

Speaking on the occasion Minister for Industries, Chander Parkash  Ganga said that during the past 03 years, Union Govt. has taken up many initiatives which are designed to help out the masses.

He said to ensure that benefit of these schemes reach to the needy/deserving people at grass root level, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas Sammelan’ is being organised across the country at 334 locations including in  Poonch.   The Minister and some resource persons briefed people about the various welfare schemes of the Union Govt.

Chander Parkesh Ganga asked the Civil Administration to be instrumental in providing benefit of the welfare schemes to deserving masses.

 The programme began with welcome address by Executive Director, NHPC Limited followed by felicitation of Chief Guest and other dignitaries.

MLC  Pardeep Sharma, DC Poonch   Tariq Ahmed Zargar, SSP Rajiv Pandey,   and local leaders  Sunil Gupta, Captain Bansi Lal,  Dr. Subash Raina, Moulvi Basharat Ahmed, Barkat Singh Azad and besides a large number of people  from across the district.Programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by   MG Ghai, Chief Engineer.

Later various deputations called on minister and apprised him about their demands like improvement in power supply, water supply and others administrative issues. The Minister gave a patient hearing and assured the people that all their genuine issues will be redressed time bound manner.
