Militants decamp with rifles
Suspected militants on Tuesday evening attacked the guard post of Retired Justice Muzaffar Attar’s residence at Anchidora village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district and decamped with four rifles.
Sources said that two policemen were also injured after militants opened fire during the incident.
However, the police officials claim that only two weapons of the police personnel were snatched.
They said that the two cops who sustained injuries during the attack were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The incident created panic in the area while the government forces reached the spot and cordoned the area to nab the attackers.
