Two militants arrested in Handwara

Police and Army claimed to have busted an active Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) module in north Kashmir, a New Delhi-based news gathering agency said.

According to the reports, a joint team of Police & Army arrested two HM militants in Handwara town of north Kashmir. However, the identity of the arrested militants is yet to be revealed.

Pertinently, government forces last week claimed to have killed 13 militants in different anti-militancy operations along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, on June 1, police claimed to arrested one HM militant and five over-ground workers of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT)outfit in two separate places in Kashmir. While as the HM militant was arrested from Manigam area of Qazigund, the five LeT operatives were apprehended from Hajin area of Bandipora in north Kashmir.
