Provincial Naat Competition held at Tagore Hall

Provincial level Naat Competition was held at Tagore Hall of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages on Saturday as part of the Ramzan Special programme series. The programme was jointly hosted by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and School Education Department.

Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone was the chief guest on the occasion. The competition was held among participants of Valleys ten districts in two categories comprising boys and girls.

The winners of Naat competition will be given cash rewards and certificates of participation by the Academy on the culminating event slated for 17th of this month.

Aaqib Farooq (Annatnag), Irfan Ahmad Mir (Bandipora), Aabiroo Rafiq (Baramulla), Ummi Laila (Budgam), Mehjabeen Bano (Ganderbal), Sumaiya (Kupwara), Ishrat Mushtaq (Pulwama), Faisal Amin (Shopian) and Amir ul Saleem (Srinagar) participated in the competition.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Srinagar said that competitions of this nature should be held on regular basis as these allow students to showcase their skills and talent. He also announced cash rewards of Rs 1000 each in respect of all the participants.

The competition was adjudged by Ghulam Hassan Ghamgeen, Abul Hasan Farooqui and Shaista Ahmad.
