Mughal road opens for two way traffic

Two way traffic was allowed to move on the historical Mughal road from today. The road was opened for one way traffic on 23 April this year.

As per official statement, IG Traffic said initially two-way movement on the Mughal road has been allowed for Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) only from June 09, 2017 for a period of one week.

Giving details, he said the movement of traffic (LMVs only) from either sides (viz. from Behramgalla and Heerpora sides) shall be allowed strictly between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm only and all the vehicles shall cross Peer Ki Gali before 5:00 pm, every day.

The IG Traffic said movement of HMVs shall continue to be one-way till further orders and movement of these vehicles (HMVs) from Behramgalla towards Shopian and vice versa shall be allowed on alternate days strictly.
