IUST students protest against the student killing in Shopian
Hundreds of students of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora staged a protest march on Srinagar-Jammu highway against the killing of a youth in Shopian, sources said.
Earlier as per reports, the IUST students marched from the University up to the highway raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
The protesting students were intercepted by a Para-military forces and police on the highway and after they resisted forces used tear smoke shells to disperse them.
Aadil Farooq Magray of Ganowpora Shopian was killed last evening in force’s firing during clashes which erupted after forces cordoned off the area.
