Ramadan special: JK Police provides helping hand

Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with Uday Foundation today provided the helping hand by distributing clothing items to the needy and poor in Srinagar and Shopian.

According to a statement issued here, the campaign is being launched on the directions of Director General of Police Shri S.P. Vaid and Inspector General of Police Shri Munir Ahmad Khan.

The statement said that, free clothing items were distributed among the leprosy patients in Lalbazar and among more than 1000 orphans of various orphanages of the city.

In Shopian SSP Pulwama Shri Mohammad Aslam distributed the free items among the needy and poor people of District Pulwama at District Police Lines Pulwama.

The police said that the campaign will also be held in other districts of the valley and shall be a regular feature of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
