Police recovers poppy straw
Police received an information that one person identified as Nazir Ahmad Misgar resident of Gandwani in the jurisdiction of Police Station D.H Pora has kept huge quantity of contraband substances at his home.
After receiving this information, a police party of Police Station D.H Pora raided his house. On search four bags of poppy straw was recovered from the house. The house owner fled from the spot and efforts are on to arrest him.
A case FIR number 42/2017 under section 8/15 NDPS was registered and investigation was taken up, a police spokesman said.
