Police drive against poppy cultivation
Anantnag police along with excise & revenue department Sunday launched a drive against contraband cultivation and destroyed the poppy spread on 30 Kanals of land in Wullarhama area of Pahalgam.
According to the statement issue from Zonal Police Headquarters, on the direction of SSP Anantnag Zubair Ahmad Khan, a police party headed by SHO Pahalgam conducted a drive against the contraband cultivation of poppy.
“During the drive poppy spread on 30 kanals of land was destroyed at village Wallerhama. The drive will continue for destruction of poppy crop in the district,” the police statement read.
