Boy killed, one injured in road mishap

A boy died while a motorcyclist was injured in two separate road accidents in Bandipora and Srinagar, a police spokesman said.

In Bandipora, an auto bearing registration number JK16-4287 hit and injured a boy namely Suhail Rehman son of Abdul Rehman Kaloo resident of Naninara, Sumbal at Naninara in Sumbal.

The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In Srinagar, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01W-6455 driven by Sheikh Salik resident of New Colony, Kawdara and a Tavera bearing registration number JK01T-9755 driven by Nazir Ahmad Najar resident of Fateh Kadal, Srinagar met with an accident at Karfalee Mohalla Police Station M. R. Gunj, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment where from he was shifted to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.
