Clashes erupted in Sopore after youth tried to  take out a protest march against the killing of two militants in Nathipora village of Sopore.

According to the sources, scores of youth, after Friday prayer assembled near Markazi Jamia Masjid Sopore and started shouting anti-India and Pro-freedom slogans over the killings of two local militants yesterday in a gunfight at Nathipora Zaingeer area of Sopore town. 

Reports said that scoresof youth after the Friday congregational prayers tried to take a protest march from Jamia Masjid area, but were stopped by the government forces at Main Bazaar Sopore area.

Amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans the  youth resorted to stone pelting, triggering clashes  in the area.

Forces responded with teargas shells to disperse the protesters youth.
