Army, on Wednesday, said that two young boys from Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK), who had inadvertently crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) on May 23, were apprehended by an Army patrol. They were sent back safely through the Tithwal Crossing Point in Tangdhar sector.

“Thirteen-year-old Wasalat Khan and 12-year-old Mohammad Iftikhar Khan, both belonging to Simari village in PaK, had lost their way and entered the Indian side of LoC. Despite the prevailing tense situation, the Army’s patrol displayed remarkable restraint and secured the boys from the danger zone without any harm,” an Army statement said.

The spokesman said that as a goodwill gesture, the young boys were treated with utmost care and provided with all medical and other administrative provisions during their stay and were handed over to PaK officials in the presence of officials from Jammu and Kashmir Police, civil administration and a large gathering of villagers on both sides.
