Minister visits Kheer Bhawani, reviews arrangements

Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri today, along with a team of senior officers visited Kheer Bhawani at Tulmulla Ganderbal and took stock of the arrangements being made for smooth conduct of ensuing Mela.

The Minister was accompanied by DDC Ganderbal Tariq Ahmed Ganie, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmed Lone and other concerned officers. 

The Minister stressed upon the officers to work with missionary spirit and proper coordination so that all possible facilities are made available to the devotees during Mela days at the temple. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure cleanliness in and around the Bhawan besides making all toilets temporarily functional.

The Minister visited the health centre setup for providing health care to the visitors and asked the administration to provide quality health care to the devotees.  Mr Veeri also visited the stall of FCS& CA Department and stressed on the officers to ensure proper availability of food grains for the devotees.

Minister, while interacting with yatris, assured them that Government has taken all necessary initiatives for up gradation of various facilities for the visiting devotees at the site.

The Minister was given brief about the preparedness of the district administration for the upcoming Mela and was told that a foolproof mechanism was put in place to ensure that the devotees get the requisite necessary facilities for performing religious rituals.
