Five injured in cross border firing on LoC

Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations today claimed that three people were injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing along Line of Control(LoC).

In a statement issued to the media, ISPR said, “Indian troops opened fire at Battal, Jandrot and Hotspring sectors at [the] LoC”.

The statement added that Pakistani troops were “effectively engaging Indian positions” after the incident.

Meanwhile, two civilian have been injured in the shelling by Pakistani troops at Krishnagathi sector in Poonch along LoC.

“Two civilians have been injured in shelling by Pakistan at KG sector”, Deputy Commissioner of Poonch, Harun Malik told a New Delhi based news gathering agency

He said that the injured have been referred to Government Medical College Hospital  Jammu for further treatment.
