CS expresses grief over death of IAS officer in drowning incident

Chief Secretary, B.B Vyas has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad and untimely death of young IAS officer, Shri Ashish Dahiya, in a drowning incident inside the Foreign Service Institute, New Dehli.

An IAS Officer of 2016 Batch, Shri Ashish Dahiya was scheduled to join the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development on 31st of May, 2017 for institutional training.  

“It was extremely shocking to hear the news about the death of a very young, bright and a budding IAS officer, who was set to start his institutional training at J&K, IMPARD and Revenue Training Institute and later would have joined various departments in the districts.  The State Administration is grieved to have lost a young IAS officer”, Chief Secretary said.      

Chief Secretary and officers of the State administration expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family of Shri Ashish Dahiya and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
