The Joint Resistance Leadership, Tuesday condemned the imposition of curfew and restrictions in Srinagar, Tral and other parts of Kashmir to foil the Tral Chalo march.
In a statement issued here Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik castigated the state administration for putting curbs on political activists, imposition of curfew and arresting the resistance leadership.
“The restrictions, crackdown against leaders and activists and clamping of curfew is illogical. Indian forces are carrying genocide under well thought plane,” said Geelani adding that “we are even bared to mourn over slain youth”.
Terming it the worst example of state terrorism, resistance leaders said unwarranted and unjustified curbs on political activities give rise to chaos and uncertainty in state.
“They are creating unnecessary hurdles in peaceful activities while referring to state administration and said that people in Tral were restricted and curfew was declared in whole area and unwarranted restrictions were imposed on people’s movement”.
