Class work to remain suspended

According to District Administrations, the class work in various districts of Kashmir shall remain suspended on May 31 (Wednesday) as a precautionary measure.

The colleges and schools in Srinagar city with remain closed on Wednesday, officials said.

Deputy magistrate Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone said that the schools and colleges will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday).

The schools and colleges across Kashmir have been shut for the last two days following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Sabzar Bhat in an encounter in Tral in Pulwama district.

According to the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, class work in Government Degree College Kangan and Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal shall remain suspended on May 31, 2017 (Wednesday) as a precautionary measure.

In Budgam, class work in all Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges shall remain suspended tomorrow, however the staff shall remain present in the institutions.

Whereas, in Anantnag and Shopian districts the class work shall remain suspended in all educational institutions.

Meanwhile, the district administration of Kupwara classwork in all Degree Colleges shall remain suspended on May 31, but University level examinations will be conducted as per the schedule.

The district administration said that class work in Boys Higher Secondary School Trehgaam, Girls Higher Secondary School Trehgaam, Boys Higher Secondary School Kralpora, Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara,   Boys Higher Secondary School Banair Langate, Boys Higher Secondary School Qalamabad, Boys Higher Secondary School Kupwara and Boys Higher Secondary School Drugmullah shall remain suspended.

Remaining all Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle Schools, and Primary Schools will be open in the district.  

According to the District Magistrate Pulwama, all Schools and Colleges of the District shall remain closed on May 31, and June 01, 2017 as a precautionary measure.
