18 year old tourist from Mumbai was injured in a stone pelting incident that took place in South Kashmir today. The tourist was on his way to Jammu.

Abhijeet Pandey, a college student’s left side jaws has been fractured in a stone pelting incident, one of his accomplice said.

He said that Panday was bleeding profusely and he was brought to SMHS hospital for the treatment this afternoon.

He was accompanied by his father and the brother.

His brother Deepak Pandey said that they were heading towards Jammu from where they had to catch a train to Mumbai.

“But unfortunately, we were somewhere in South Kashmir, and our cab came under stone pelting and my brother was injured,” Deepak told Kashmir Vision in the hospital.

He said they had arrived in Srinagar for a trip.

“We came here on 22nd May and had plans to move back but in between this incident took place,” he said.

Deepak complained about the callous approach of the doctors at the SMHS hospital.

“Since last one hour not a single doctor has come to us to inquire about mu injured brother,” he added.

Meanwhile, a doctor attending on Abhijeet said that he was alright and was being operated.

Clashes erupted in many villages of South Kashmir between security forces and protesters after the death news of Hizb commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat spread there.
