Sopore shuts to mourn killings of Hizb commander Subzar Bhat and his aide

A complete shutdown was observed in Sopore town of north Kashmir following the Joint Resistance Leaders valley wide shutdown call against the killing of top Hizb commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat and his aide Faizan Ahmad during an encounter in Tral on Saturday.

All the shops and business establishments remained shut while as public transport was off the roads in the whole town.

Forces have been deployed at various places in the area to prevent any untoward incident in the town.

Pertinently, whole Kashmir valley is observing shutdown to mourn the death of Hizbul Mujahideen millitant commander Subzar Bhat and his close aide who were killed in an encounter in Tral yesterday.

Consequently, the authorities, have imposed curfew and restrictions in the valley to stem protests against the killing of the Hizb commander.
