Ensure supply of basic amenities in Ramadan: DC Budgam to officials
The district administration Budgam on Thursday held a meeting of officers in which the arrangements for ensuing Ramadan were finalized.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad during the meeting directed the officers to ensure that the action plan regarding arrangements for the holy month is implemented in letter and spirit.
Officials of the PDD were asked to provide an adequate supply of electric power during the Ramadan and ensure uninterrupted power is provided to the people during sehri and iftaar timings.
The PHE authorities were directed to ensure an adequate supply of safe potable drinking water in the district and deploy water tankers to the areas who are facing a shortage of water.
Altaf also directed officials of FCS&CA Department to provide sufficient and prompt supply and distribution of ration and LPG.
Similarly, the Municipal authorities were asked to carry out cleanliness and sanitation measures in and around mosques and shrines of Budgam.
