Police held a fraudster in Budgam

Police Thursday arrested a notorious fraudster involved in number of cases for duping the people in Central Kashmir’s Budgam District.

According to the police statement, Ghulam Qadir Bhat son of Habib Ullah Bhat a resident of  Raithan,  Khansahib,  Budgam who reportedly was involved in number of cases of duping people on the pretext of buying their less valued orchids for a huge amount.

Police said that a number of arrest warrants were also issued against the accused by Court of Munsif Budgam, however, he evaded arrest.

Meanwhile, the accused had earlier attacked the police official when they went to execute the warrant against him.

Subsequently, after the incident the accused was on run and was arrested in Jammu after police traced his location, police said.

Police said that further investigation into the matter in on.
