Hitting back at National Conference (NC) for accusing him of unleashing ‘reign of terror and resorting to favouritism’, ruling PDP minister for Rural Development Abdul Haq Khan, on Wednesday said that NC is known for its revengeful politics.

“National Conference ruled the state for decades and during its rule it only resorted to nepotism and used revenge against its political opponents,” Abdul Haq Khan said.

The minister said, “The party is frustrated as it does not have the habit of remaining out of power. It only wants power regardless of the means through which the power comes.”

The PDP leader said that NC ‘looted’ and never ‘cared’ for the development or welfare of the people of the state. “If it compares our two-years of developmental work with its decades of rule, then its leaders would be lip-tight in public.”

NC’s provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani had lashed out at PDP minister for ‘unleashing a reign of terror and handing contracts to his political associates and workers’ in Lolab and Sogam, the assembly segment from where Haq Khan is the MLA.
