ITTIFAAQ organizes blood donation camp at KU

ITTIFAAQ- United we stand, a Srinagar based trust in collaboration with Dean Students Welfare and Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital on Wednesday organized a blood donation camp at University of Kashmir.

 

Held at the lawns of Gandhi Bhawan here, doctors present on the occasion said that 67 pints of blood were donated.

 

Nida Rehman, the founder of ‘ITTIFAAQ’ told Kashmir Vision that the aim of organizing the blood donation camp was to create a habit among of people for donating the blood for the noble causes.

 

“The blood donated today will be used among the victims who are in its dire need,” Nida said.

 

Syed Bilal, who worked as volunteer for the event hoped people, will come forward in huge numbers to donate the blood.

 

“I am sure that in future we will witness record number of blood donation,” he said.

 

Students who donated their blood expressed their gratitude over the initiative taken by ‘ITTIFAAQ’.

 

“I have also loved to help the people in one or the other way. But when I came to know about this camp, I donated blood for the noble cause and we hope such events will happen here,” said a female student of MBA department.
