Farooq Abdullah meets Governor

Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Member Parliament and former Union Minister, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The Governor and Dr. Abdullah discussed issues relating to the obtaining external and internal security environment and the steps required to be taken for the restoration of peace and normalcy in the State.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, MLA Ganderbal, also called on Governor N.N. Vohra.

Jabbar apprised the Governor about the to-date status of ongoing developmental schemes in his Constituency and offered suggestions for the more effective involvement of locals in the organization of the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

Appreciating Jabbar’s concerns the Governor urged him to continue sustained efforts for promoting a peaceful environment which would enable rapid development and welfare of the people of his area.
