The national anthem of Pakistan-administered Kashmir (PaK) was played during a local cricket match in Pulwama district on Sunday.

A video of the players lined up for the national anthem of PaK  during the inaugural function of a cricket match between Pulwama Tigers and Shining Star Pampora has gone viral on social media.

“This is not something extraordinary or rare. This happens at most places during sports events, especially cricket tournaments. It becomes news only when the videos are circulated or posted on Facebook”, a player told Indian Express.

The incident came to fore after one and half month a local Kashmiri cricket club triggered the controversy after a video surfaced on the social media showing its players singing Pakistani national anthem while wearing Pakistani national cricket team’s uniform before the start of the match. Soon after the video was posted online, police had arrested players from both the teams.
