Nirmal Singh holds grievance camp

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh  today said that the government is working towards planned and systematic development of the state and numerous initiatives are being taken in this regard, adding that providing basic amenities to the people is high on the agenda of current dispensation.

Speaking at a public grievances redressal camp today at Shyama Prasad Mookherjee Bhawan , Dr Nirmal  said all out efforts are being made to provide better road connectivity, clean drinking water, uninterrupted electricity supply and upgraded educational and health infrastructure to the people of the State.

Dr. Nirmal Singh said that Central Government led by PM Modi as well as State BJP-PDP Government is keen to work for the development of nation and the State. “We are committed to give our hundred percent for the public welfare. This is the Government of masses, so everybody must visit regarding their concerns, “Dr Singh added.

Several deputations from Doda, Samba, Reasi, Kathua, Rajouri, Jammu, Kargil and other parts of the Jammu Province   apprised the Deputy CM about their problems mostly pertaining to roads, water and power supply, irrigation, drainage, health and education, development of tourist spots, upgradation of power infrastructure regularization of PDD, PHE  daily wagers and Kargil porter’s.

Giving a patient hearing to the deputations, Dr Singh assured the public of early redressal of their issues and directed the officers to take speedy action on the same. He also addressed many of the grievances put forth by the public on the spot while directing the officers for redressal of remaining issues at the earliest.

Speaking on the issue of uninterrupted power supply and upgradation of infrastructure, the Deputy Chief Minister said that currently 100MW additional power is being supplied in Jammu Province. He directed the Chief Engineer, Power Development Department to replace the damaged transformers immediately in the affected areas.

He also appealed to the people to make judicious use of electricity and use LED bulbs provided by the government under UJALA scheme which will help them in saving power and money too.

Later, a deputation from Shiv Khori, Ransoo also called on Dy CM and projected their issue and problems.  Dy CM assured them that their grievances would be addressed at an earliest.

Emphasizing the significance of Jammu division for tourism in the State, Dy CM issued directions to the Director Tourism Jammu for the development of tourist spots in Reasi district particularly in Gool Arnas.

The Deputy Chief Minister was assisted by senior political leaders Rajinder Sharma and Suresh Sharma.
