Asiea inspects healthcare facilities at C D Hospital

Minister of State for Health and Medical Education, Asiea Naqash, Saturday visited the Chest Disease Hospital in Srinagar to inspect the facilities available to patients

Taking a thorough inspection in and around the hospital premises, the Minister checked various sections of the hospital to assess the facilities available to patients.

Asiea according to the statement “spoke to several patients admitted in the hospital on the occasion and sought their feedback with regard to the facilities available in the hospital.”

While taking note of poor condition of bathrooms in the hospital, the Minister assured necessary repairs  at the earliest.

While being apprised of the requirements at the hospital, Asiea asked the hospital administration to prepare a proposal for the same and submit it to her office as soon as possible.

The statement added that the minister was informed about a proposed JKPCC construction coming up adjacent to the hospital, the Minister said that an open environment is crucial to the treatment of pulmonary ailments and assured of calling a meeting soon to discuss possibilities of its relocation.

On the occasion, a delegation of locals called on and apprised the Minister of the problems faced by the local population from the lack of a general dispensary in area.

Commissioner, Secretary Health & Medical Education Department, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, accompanied the Minister during the visit.
