Youth hangs self, woman attempts suicide
A youth on Friday committed suicide in Anantnag while a woman attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her home in Sopore.
According to the police officials, a 17-year-old youth, resident of Anantnag hanged himself at his home in Anantnag district.
The youth according to the officials was shifted to the Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
“After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” officials said.
Meanwhile, a woman (name withheld) in Sopore has consumed some poisonous substance at her home. “The lady was rushed to Sub-District Hospital Sopore for treatment where from she was shifted to SMHS Hospital for further treatment,” officials said.
Meanwhile, Police has registered cases in both the incidents.
