Symposium ‘Save Girls, Save Trees’ organized

A Symposium-cum-Awareness camp on the topic “Save Girls, Save Trees “was organized by NGO, Jan Sangarsh in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Udhampur at Government City High School, Boys, Lambi Gali here today.

District Information Officer, Esha Chib was the Chief Guest while DFO Territorial Jugal Kishore was Guest of Honour on the occasion.

The programme started with the welcome address by Advocate Sanjeet Bavouria who is also the president of ‘Jan Sangarsh’.

 Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest appreciated the students who participated in the symposium and  said that involving students in such awareness programmes would definitely help in bringing change in societal attitude towards girl child. She also stressed upon the teachers to lay more focus on the moral education of the students.

DFO Udhampur, on the occasion, stressed on the various factors that lead to Global Warming and said that the Forest department would provide all possible assistance in organizing such awareness programmes in future.

Later, the Chief Guest felicitated the participants of the symposium.

Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defense Udhampur Swatantra Dev Kotwal conducted the proceedings of the programme.

Among others, Principal, Teachers and students in large number attended the programme.
