Three arrested for abducting, raping minor girls in Bandipora

Police arrested three persons accused of rape and abduction of three minor girls in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday, reports said.

According to the reports, Khursheed Ganai and Ehsan Akbar Mir – both residents of Kaloosa , were arrested after police station Bandipora received complaints from the families of two minor girls (names withheld), aged 15 and 16.

“The accused raped them for two days in a solitary place in Pahalgam. Both the girls were recovered and the accused were arrested with the help of Anantnag police today,” a police official said.

Meanwhile, in a similar incident another person namely Shamroz Malik, was arrested for allegedly raping a 13-year old minor in Arin village of Bandipora, police sources said.

FIRs have been registered in all the cases and investigation has been taken up.
