Minister convenes public grievances redressal camps

Minister for Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Choudhary Zulfkar Ali, today reaffirmed Government’s commitment towards ensuring responsive, transparent and accountable dispensation to people of the state.

The Minister while addressing a series of public grievances redressal camps in Khawas, Budhal, Behinumbal, Gadyogmore, Khawas, Gundha, Dalheri villages and adjoining areas, said that present Government under the leadership of Mehbooa Mufti is determined to fulfill peoples aspirations and said that numerous measures have been launched in this regard.

He further said that present dispensation is endeavoring hard to make Jammu and Kashmir as a model State with latest infrastructural edifice, focus on road connectivity, education, healthcare, power and water supply.

Spelling out several development projects being launched in the area, the Minister elaborated on sanctioning of mega projects like Anus Canal, ITI Koteranka, creation of Municipality Koteranka, Eco tourism Park, MCH at Koteranka, ANMT School at Koteranka, Budhal Shopian Road, Development of Seven Lakes of Pir Panjal, 10 Health Institution buildings, Upgradation of SDH Kandi to 50 bedded hospital, construction of hostel buildings etc.

People in large numbers hailing from nearby villages participated in the camp and apprised the Minister of their problems and grievances.

People present on the occasion raised several issues related to PDD, PHE Irrigation, rationalization of teaching staff in educational institutions, agriculture, revenue and allied departments.

The Minister assured the public of early redressal of their issues and directed the officers to ensure speedy action on the same.

Zulfkar said that objective of conducting such camps is to provide a single platform to the public for raising their issues, demands so that these will be responded on the spot by the concerned officers.

 Responding to certain issues in preparation of Aadhar cards,  the Minister  directed SDM Koteranka  to organize special camps so that on spot certificates be provided to the needy people besides chalking out a time schedule Panchayat wise for preparation of Aadhar cards.
