Eight shops looted

Eight shops were looted in Rohama Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district during the intervening night of 15th May, sources said.

According to reports robbers looted eight shops in the Rohama market and decamped with money and goods worth of lakhs of rupees.

“Eight shops including some hosiery shops were looted during night hours. The shopkeepers were shocked when they found their shutters broken at wee hours on Monday. According to the president trader’s federation of Rohama Bashir Ahmad, the shopkeepers have informed the police.

Police have registered a case and started further investigation, however, no concrete evidence has emerged as yet, Ahmad said.
