Red Cross imparts first aid training to volunteers

State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society J&K organized five day ‘Intensive First Aid Training Programme’ in collaboration with International Committee of Red Cross at here today.

General Secretary-IRCS J&K State Branch, M.S. Rather, inaugurated the five day training programme and welcomed the member of ICRC and all the volunteers who were present on this occasion.

He said that the main objective of the said training programme is to train large number of volunteers across the State for handling the situation like natural calamities, manmade disasters and other type of emergencies.

On this occasion, Felicity Gapes, who is the Regional Health Advisory from New Zealand, imparted training to volunteers.

Present among others were Dr. Itinder Pal Singh Bali, Master Trainer, Manash Mohan, Health Coordinator ICRC, Jagdish Member ICRC, Ms. Priyanka, Member ICRC, Ms. Afroza Mehmood Wani, Project Coordinator and number of volunteers.
