Poppy cultivation destroyed
According to the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Executive Kashmir, the Excise team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, North Kashmir Range has destroyed 20 kanals of poppy in village Raipora, Palhallan of Tehsil Pattan of District Baramulla and second team headed by Excise and Taxation Officer, Central Kashmir has destroyed 35 kannals of poppy in village of Parnewah Khaipora of Tehsil Khan Sahab of District Budgam.
The Deputy Commissioner said that so far, a total of 120 kanals of poppy have been destroyed in Kashmir valley by the Excise department.
