Minister pays rich tributes to Maharana Pratap Singh

Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment Choudhary Lal Singh paid rich tributes to the Maharana Pratap Singh on his 477th birth anniversary at a function held, here today.

Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLA,  Sat Pal Sharma, MLC Vikram Randawa, President Rajput Sabha Narayan Singh, President Dharam Jagran Samanway Rakesh Kumar besides representatives of various social organizations, who were also present on the occasion.

Remembering the late ruler, the Minister paid reverence to the ‘proud son of India’ saying that Maharana Pratap’s life symbolizes courage, patriotism and sacrifice.

Choudhary Lal Singh said Pratap Singh was a true national hero who valiantly fought to defend his motherland. “Not only did the Rajput ruler inspire Indians but his name also became a source of inspiration for people in other countries”, he added.

Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, while recalling the life of Maharana Pratap Singh, said that the warrior stood as a firm wall against the oppressors.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA Sat Pal Sharma said that Maharana Pratap became an icon for freedom fighters because his name evoked a strong feeling of love and sacrifice for motherland. He said Maharana Paratap Singh was a lone ruler of the time who stood against tyranny and spread idea of brotherhood.

President Rajput Sabha also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the life history of the Maharana Pratap Singh and remembered his sacrifices for the nation.
