For three age groups, State Football academy to conduct trials from May 18

In a bid to nurture and promote the talent of local boys at the National level, the State’s premier Football academy is going to hold trails for players from May 18.

The trails would be held under the initiative of J&K State Sports Council.

Mehrajuddin Wadoo, the star footballer, who has played at international level, would spearhead the academy.

The academy would run throughout the year and would provide modern football training facilities and opportunities to players to showcase their talent at the national level.

The academy as per modern football guidelines would look to focus on the three main age groups: U13, U15, U18 and subsequently selected players would be registered with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.

The trials will start from May 18 and the interested players have been asked to report at Synthetic Turf TRC.

For the U-13 age group (born between the year 2004-07), the trails would be held on May 18, 19 at 3:30 pm.

While for U-15 age group (born between the year 2002-03), trails would be held on May 20 at 3:30 pm, 21 at 8 am.

Similarly, for U- 18 (born between 1999- 2001) trails would be held on May 22 and 23 at 3:30 pm.

Meanwhile, players have been asked to come on time along with their original Date of Birth certificates and proper playing kit.
