Drug peddler arrested
Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 kilograms of poppy straw from his possession.
During routine checking, a police party of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel intercepted a Swift vehicle bearing registration number PB08CZ-2913 driven by Bakshi Singh resident of Beet Lane Ludhiana, Punjab. On checking 10 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from the vehicle.
A case FIR number 108/17 under section 15 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
