Developmental scenario reviewed in Kupwara
In order to review the overall performance of ongoing works in the Education and R&B Departments, the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara today convened a meeting of the concerned departments to review the progress achieved during the last fiscal.
The Chief Education Officer, Kupwara briefed the chair about the status of ongoing developmental scenario under elementary education and functioning of the education department. Besides, some important issues were also discussed during the meeting with concerned ZEOs and executing agencies.
It was given out that 32 school buildings under RMSA, One girls hostel at Langate and DIET building at Kupwara has been completed. Under SSA, 760 school buildings, 1936 additional class rooms, 53 headmaster rooms besides 123 schools are existing after clubbing. The DC was further informed that the department has distributed 58761 free text books among the enrolled students from 3rd to 8th standard during the period. DC impressed upon the authorities to complete all ongoing works as per the guidelines of the government and issues pertaining to land disputes, accommodation problems be resolved through the coordination between the locals, executing agency and education department.
